Jane Capellini’s aesthetically pleasing yet highly functional interiors meld architecture with unique design. “My refined sensibilities are built on my ability to channel the diverse personalities of my clients taking into account the individuality of the space”, says the principal of Capellini Design Associates, a full-service Interior Designer. After over three decades of design, Capellini, who studied Environmental Design at Pratt Institute, has created a unique blend of residential, commercial, and hospitality designs which are derived from her combined work in all industries. Named one of the top 25 Designers in Connecticut, her multi-layered spaces range from elegant and playful to classic and hip.

Her versatile portfolio includes a boutique hotel and Michelin star restaurant in New York City; residential building lobbies in New York City; a horse farm in Pawling, New York; and seasonal homes in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, the Hamptons, New York, and Palm Beach, Florida; as well as primary residences in Washington, DC, Greenwich, Connecticut, Essex, Connecticut, Long Island, New York, New York City, Brooklyn, New York, and Westchester County, New York. She’s transformed the simplest renovation to large scale and intricate projects.

Although fluent in all styles, Capellini specializes in a timeless transitional take that rests between traditional and modern which she refers to as “transitional-hip”. Muted colors, textured surfaces, and pops of color mark her projects; as does a quiet riot of patterns. Additionally, she keeps calming interiors balanced with a playful palette of furnishings and a keen attention to detail.

She prides herself in pure love of design and focusing on collaboration, communication, and personalized design to ensure each client receives a functioning space without compromising aesthetics.
